7 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is perfect for those with limited time. This trek offers most comprehensive budget trek of the region.  Also known as short Annapurna Base Camp Trek, it is moderate trek which is suitable for all kinds of trekkers and can be done in different time duration. The trail follows the terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forest and alpine landscapes with the great views of Annapurna range most of the times.

Flying along the Himalayas to Pokhara, a short drive north takes us to Dhampus Phedi for a walk through farmlands and forest to Pothana. Further ascend through the ridge takes us to Deurali that offers fascinating view of Pokhara and Phewa Lake.

Now the valley is totally covered with lush forest of rhododendron, oak and pine. We can discover many cultural villages perched majestically on a ridge tops surrounded by terraced fields. As the trail moves out the Chhomrong, the pace slows, the path becomes steep and as the trail approach Annapurna Sanctuary, tree line gives way to alpine scrub and peaks come into full view.

From Machhapuchhre Base Camp, two hours climb through grassy trail takes us to Annapurna Base Camp. Here you will be surrounded by the immense wall of rock and Ice U-shaped valley gorge.

The downhill trek needs three nights with a stop at Ghandruk, a large Gurung village that is worth exploring. We visit local museum that provides in-depth knowledge of local culture and traditions. A final descend takes us to Nayapul and a car to drive back to the hotel at Pokhara. We drive back to Kathmandu through countryside landscapes.
