Ghandruk Trek is one of great alternative trekking option for those who have limited vacation in Nepal. This short trek offers a good introduction into trekking whilst providing close views of sacred mountain Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. You also get to visit the project to discover the conservational work being carried out.
The Ghandruk trekking trail follows the beautiful valleys, paddy fields, dense mossy forests, icy waterfalls and up steep stone-slab steps. Trekkers can witness the towering snow-clad peaks around every corner in the trek.

Day01: Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport (1,300m/4,260ft) and transfer to the hotel

Day02: Kathmandu – Pokhara (880m/2,900ft) – 6 – 7 hours’ drive

Day03: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi (1130m) and trek to Pothana

Day04: Trek from Pothana to Ghandruk (1950m – 7 hours

Day05: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul via Birethanti and drive to Pokhara– 6 hours trek/ 1. 5 hour drive

Day06: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu – 6 - 7 hours

Day01: Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport (1,300m/4,260ft) and transfer to the hotel

Our Annapurna Encounter Trek’s airport representative will receive you outside the terminal hall. Please, look for our Treks play card. He will transfer you to the hotel, introduce your trekking guide and check the necessities. In afternoon, stroll around the colorful market of bustling city – Thamel.

Day02: Kathmandu – Pokhara (880m/2,900ft) – 6 – 7 hours’ drive

After breakfast, drive along the Prithivi Rajmarga to Pokhara with fascinating glimpse of rural Nepal and emerald hill scenery. The driving route passes through the lower Ghorkha region (beneath Manaslu), south of the epicenter of the first of the recent earthquake.

Transfer to your hotel at Pokhara. After check in and short refreshment, we join a trip to Pokhara city that includes Devi’s waterfalls and Shiva Cave. Enjoy delightful cruise on Phewa Lake before dinner

Day03: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi (1130m) and trek to Pothana

Today we trek from Pokhara to Phedi that takes around 2 hour of switchback drive. The trek starts with an ascend through the magical forest to the village of Dhampus. It is a beautiful settlement of Gurung which offers an opportunity to enjoy the views of Annapurna range, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. Further, we ascend through the forested trail to reach Pothana.

Day04: Trek from Pothana to Ghandruk (1950m0 – 7 hours

The first part of trail starts with uphill climb to Deurai. From here, the trail follows the flat path until Landruk. The trail from Landruk goes through the steep descend until Modi Khola and climb above to Ghandruk village. Here we get to enjoy the best view of Annapurna ranges and fishtail.

Day05: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul via Birethanti and drive to Pokhara– 6 hours trek/ 1. 5 hour drive

After breakfast, we continue along a flat path passing forest, rocks and farm terraces. After Kimche (1638m), we drop down through the human settlements and terraces up to Seuli Bazaar. From here, the trail follow alongside the Modi Khola until Birethanti. Birethanti is small but picturesque town that houses few lodges, shops and human settlements. Next we walk through flat path for twenty minutes to reach Nayapul (New Bridge). Here we board vehicle to drive back to Pokhara.

Day06: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu – 6 - 7 hours

After morning breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu via tourist bus enjoying the mid hill scenery. After hotel check in, take a rest day off or enjoy free day at Kathmandu or catch up on some last minute shopping or explore missed physical landmarks in Kathmandu. Join farewell dinner organized by Annapurna Encounter to celebrate the successful completion of the journey.

Day07: Final Departure

Your adventurous journey in Nepal comes to an end today. Our airport representative will drop you to airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight.
